Postcards have always provided us with snapshots of societies at a time when few newspapers carried images. Any major social event was documented - celebrations, political movements, wars. And then, with fast progress in digital technology, we learned how to love invisible things.
Quarantine. Fear. Earthquake. Panic. Help. Love. Coexistence. Altruism. Hope. Because postcards are more than just salty kisses and sunsets.
Meet Pavel Car. After a strong earthquake struk Zagreb, in the middle of coronavirus quarantine, he was one of the climbers that worked on repairing the Zagreb Cathedral.
Postcards as representation of a destination image: old medium with a new content. While we live in a world where everything is perceived as perfect, we do not shy away from difficult moments we've been through.
